This Privacy Policy explains how Hewo Products Pvt Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and discloses personal data when you use the Do app and related services in India.

Data we collect
- Account & Authentication: email, name, profile image, Clerk user ID. Source: you and our authentication provider (Clerk).
- Profile: username, name, date of birth (18+), gender, avatar URL, setup status.
- Tasks & Reflections: task name, purpose, deadlines, statuses; optional free-text reflections/reasons.
- Wallet & Transactions: deposit order/payment IDs, signatures, payment method details (e.g., card last4/network when provided by processor), payout IDs and statuses.
- Payout Accounts: BANK or UPI details (bank name, account last4, IFSC, or UPI VPA/display), and RazorpayX contact/fund account IDs. We do not store full bank account numbers.
- Device/Log/Security: IP address, headers, user agent, rate-limit keys, origin checks, error logs.
- Usage/Analytics: privacy-friendly page views/events using Vercel Web Analytics (cookie-less, first-party hashed).
- Communications: support messages and emails; marketing emails if you opt in (from social@wo.life).
How we use data
- Provide and improve the Service (accounts, tasks, wallet, commitments, payouts, digital silver).
- Payments & payouts (Razorpay / RazorpayX) and ledger reconciliation.
- Security & fraud prevention (CSRF origin checks, rate limiting, abuse detection).
- Product analytics (cookie-less, first-party).
- Legal & compliance (tax/accounting, lawful requests).
- Marketing (optional); you can opt out anytime.
Legal bases / grounds
We rely on: consent (e.g., marketing), necessity to provide the service (account, tasks, wallet, deposits/payouts), legitimate uses/interests (security, analytics), and legal obligations (financial recordkeeping, lawful requests). We comply with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and other applicable laws.
Sharing and processors
We use trusted processors to operate the Service: Clerk (auth), Supabase (database/storage), Razorpay (deposits), RazorpayX (payouts), and Vercel (hosting & cookie-less analytics). We may disclose data as required by law, to protect rights/safety, or in connection with corporate transactions.
International transfers and data residency
We target data residency in India and configure regions accordingly where supported. Some sub-processors may process data outside India; we use appropriate safeguards and contractual controls.
Retention
- Financial records and wallet ledger: retained up to 8 years (or longer if required by law).
- Account/profile, tasks, reflections: retained for your account’s lifetime and deleted upon request or account deletion, subject to legal holds.
- Security logs: typically retained up to 12 months.
- Marketing: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
Your rights (DPDP)
You may request access, correction, and deletion (where legally permissible), and raise grievances. To exercise rights, email support@wo.life from your registered email (subject: "Data Request").
Cookies and local storage
- Auth/session: essential, HttpOnly, secure cookies set by Clerk.
- Analytics: Vercel Web Analytics is cookie-less and first-party.
- Local storage: theme preference only (key:
do:theme). - No advertising/marketing trackers.
Security
TLS in transit, encryption at rest with our providers, CSRF origin checks and rate limiting. We never store sensitive card PANs; we may store last4 and network returned by the payment provider.
Children
The Service is for adults 18+ only. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes
We may update this Policy. We will post changes in-app and update the Effective date.
